2018-07-09 Rider Down/Fatality - Queen's Circus

Rider down at the roundabout by Battersea Park at the bottom of Queenstown Road.

Lots of activity. Firemen holding up a sheet, numerous ambulances, and an air ambulance. Roundabout closed off.

Don't know exactly what happened but it doesn't look good.

That does sound bad. :(

Just passed by on my commute home.
Helicopter was parked on Queen’s circus, tent set up next to a rubbish collection truck.
Left turn coming from Chelsea bridge was closed off for road works so no idea how it would have happened.
So sorry for the rider. I hope it’s not as bad as it seems.

If the info relayed to me by someone who had spoken to one of the witnesses is correct then it's certainly a 'life-changing' event.

Hope it’s better than it sounds. Positive thoughts for male rider.

Cycled past as the first responder arrived and it was looking pretty grim. CPR while still under the bin-lorry. Lots of riders were there helping already.

Hope the guy pulls through. The helicopter was landing within 5 mins of the first paramedic arriving.

Gf was there just as it happened, such a gruesome event. Thoughts with the rider, hope he makes it.

Sadly now confirmed as a fatality. So much living still to do at 34.
