I have a small 1981 Peugeot PH18M (PH 18 M) mixte in 50cm for sale.
Built in 1980, this is a 1981 model.
Seat tube is 50cm centre to top so this was the smallest frame Peugeot produced at the time.
Top tube is 54cm projected so with swept bars, it will fit a lucky lady around 5ft2 ish
Frame: 50cm. Carbolite 103 Tubing which is reasonably light. Lovely powder blue colour - many marks and scuffs but no dents. Rear rack, full mudguards.
Quill seatpost (moves freely) with a a springy saddle.
Cockpit: 50cm swept back bars (chromed steel), 110mm 3TTT quill stem, new black rubber grips, new jagwire orange outer cables, new inner cables. Headset bearings adjusted (no play).
Brakes: Weinmann Type 730 Side pull brakes with new pads at the front.
Wheels: Clincher steel rims which has been re-tensioned and trued. Tyres are new 700x23mm Vittoria Zaffiro and there is clearance for up to 32mm.
Gears: Single chairing cottered cranks, bottom bracket has been adjusted (no play). 5 speed rear freewheel, Simplex downtube shifter & rear derailleur. Sedis chain is in good condition.
I chose orange outer cables to match the Peugeot logs colours so hopefully they'll be to someone's taste!
The bike rides well and there are a few new parts so you will be good for a few thousand miles!
Price wise, I am after SOLD FOR £160 for it.
Test rides from Stoke Newington or Gresham Street EC2V 7NQ, between Bank & St Pauls.
