I reckon they would help out if it was a manufacturing defect. Where did it shear?

I am waiting to hear from them, but thought i would get this out there for a new set should they not offer anything.
It sheared half way down the crank, really odd.

Thank you, since they have been pretty good so fingers crossed it continues this way. Thanks for the advice.
After having my crank shear off while riding i am in need of a new crankset. I am predicting Genesis are not going to replace this part as over a year old, so starting the search early.
If you have something suitable it would be great to hear from you.
