• First up is a 1986 Colnago Super frameset in the classic Saronni colour scheme. It is straight, and has no dents. SOLD

    The issues are:

Derailleur hanger snapped and has been replaced. This was done by Winston Vaz, who is a decent chap, and rather good at frame building, so it works fine, but does detract aesthetically.

There are a number of scratches, and areas of paint loss over the frame. These have been touched up. The original stickers are a bit worse for wear. One scratch on the forks.

Personally, my preference was to keep it original, but a respray, and new stickers, would be an easy job as it’s one colour and the stickers are readily available.

    Measurements are:
    56 centre-to-centre toptube
    56 centre-to-centre seattube
    27.2 seatpost
    128 o.l.d. so 130 fits fine
    steerer
    comes with seatclamp bolt
    Columbus SL tubing

    Will take 28c tyres.

Collection from Leyton, east London, next to the Underground station/ASDA car park. Can probably deliver to Hackney, Bow, Walthamstow etc.

  • Rocky Mountain Blizzard 1995 frame SOLD

In good, straight condition, and it handles really well. They had a thread on Retrobike for the best bikes you’ve ridden, and these came out near the top. If you want an old 26” mountain bike that doesn’t ride like shit, here it is. Made in Japan.

Has been powdercoated in the past (In the original black colour). The only issues are: a bit of chainsuck, and the headtube is ovalized, so you need to shim (an old drinks can worked fine for me) in a headset.

The forks are Spinner (who made the forks for Klein), and are good. Prefer them to Project 2s.

    measurements are:
    19 ctt seattube
    15.5 ctc seattube
    27.2 seatpost
    135 o.l.d.
    6.5” steerer
comes with seatclamp, but no bolt

Collection from Leyton, east London, next to the Underground station/ASDA car park. Can probably deliver to Hackney, Bow, Walthamstow etc.

I’ve also got some bits that’ll go on these bikes, which I’ll post here before listing in the main classifieds.
