I know an exceptional painter in Wexford who's doing my Koga Miyata for me at the moment...

is this his business or a "favour for a mate" sideline? would like to see any pics of his finished work if he's looking for more business....

He doesn't just do frames, mostly does motorcycle helmets and lorries actually. Search for "Sean Egan Custom Paintwork" on Facebook. No examples of bicycles on his page but he'll be finished mine soon and he was just finished a Pinarello Dogma when I dropped mine off and it looked great.

Great.
So you're looking for a single colour all over with a sticker kit and a clearcoat?
Is that right?Sadly this wouldn't be a project we'd be able to tackle for you at the moment. I might suggest that this type of refurb/restoration were perhaps the territory of Vaz Cycle Refinishing in Hither Green. I've never got up close and personal with the work but every time I'm at their workshop, it's littered with lots of these types of single colour/sticker kit type projects.
Good luck with your project.

Thanks
I've used Mario Vaz for years when I lived near him on other vintage projects and always found him to be quality and value for money it's just that moving over to N.Ireland a couple of years ago I thought I'd try keeping costs down by trying someone local over here.........

Sorry, I don’t take on vintage resto work. Not my bag.
I’d give Vaz, or Blue Whippet Paintworks (Rourke Cycles sister company) a go.
got a nice vintage frame today that needs respraying problem is I live in the Belfast area can anyone recommend a painter locally to N.Ireland? I've asked the local LBS's but no one seems to offer this as a service..........
