• I've been looking around for a good, big bag that fits to the Specialized pizza rack. I'll mostly use it for commuting so it must be easy to attach+deattach. The options I've seen so far are the Pizza bag from Specialized as well as a Knurled duffle bag from Chrome bags (cannot find it on their web site so it might be an old product?).

When I'm looking on instagram I find a lot of bags that looks good but many of them are hard / expensive to get here from the US.

    Any tips or ideas? Thanks!

  • I've got the Chrome Duffel - it's been solid so far and totally waterproof, but if you've got drops it's quite wide so make sure it'll fit and not foul your shifters. Attaching and detach is OK, but hooking the belts securely through, plus tightening and re-tightening can be a ballache.

    Always Riding have it -https://www.alwaysriding.co.uk/chrome-knurled-welded-front-rack-duffle-40.html

Mack do a rack bag too, not used it but heard nothing but good things about Mr. Mack - https://www.mackworkshop.com/products/rack-bag

Lastly is the Restrap Rando Bag (which I also have) - probably your best bet for quick release. It's got magnetic clamps which attach to a clip which you permanently attach to the rack. It's also got a shoulder strap.

Just so you're aware, none of these are particularly big - I commute with the Chrome Duffel and I can fit some tools, a change of clothes and a lunch with not much else to spare. I'd equate it to a single 20L pannier. Carry anything weighty and you'll feel it too.

  • I have the ILE Porteur Rackbag on a Soma porteur rack and love it.

It's waterproof, expands out huge and has extra long straps integrated in the lid so you don't have to carry separate bungees for big stuff. It clips on and off with a couple of side-release buckles underneath so pretty quick. The opening on top is just a big chunk of velcro so easy to open, dip in, and re-close while riding. I've had it for a couple of years and so far it seems bombproof. It comes with a shoulder strap so can be easily taken into the supermarket or wherever.

Downsides: it's not the lightest thing in the world, and it's not cheap.

Always Riding or RideAuburn carry it.

I managed to get a barbecue plus extra parcels in it a while ago:
