Makino mach silver red candy fade

Hi guys,

pitty I have little documentation on this, but still wanted to share, because I think the build came out pretty nicely. I stumbled upon this frame on njs export around chistmas and ..I was weak. yay, next project! .. I Always have been interested in the japanese and their kitschy over the top stuff. That NJS thing is not that important to me, but adds to the whole flair of these bikes imo.

It is not super tracky. The top tube is a bit longer but in change I get no toe overlap. Not the most classic or extended lugwork, but still some good craftsmanship and nice details. The detail on the top tube is made by me. Nice.

The paintjob is flashy, so I wanted to go low profile with the rest. All black, Dura Ace hubs with black saddle and black grips. I had some DA road pedals with black backplates lying around, and some other Nitto parts on another bike. Then I started looking for a nice wheelset. I was considering some clinchers, maybe tb14.. but then I felt I was compromising again. So Araya gold with tubulars it was. No fancy lacing pattern or areo spokes to keep it minimalistic.

I Could not use gumwalls, because I had to go with a Gatorskin in the back. I hope it will get me at least through some break manouvers. A thin veloflex in the front, yeah it has Latex tubing.. .let's see how tidious it will be pumping up the bastard every day. I wanted to try this tyre.

Blingy yet understated all at the same time. Looks highly edible. Talking of flashy, I nipped out on my Colnago Tecnos tonight, straight into a gang of the local youths trying to stall me!

Fit. Definitely looks like it should be edible.

Thanks for the compliments kind sirs! indeed quite edible, yet still not ridden. no time for glueing at the moment. also sparkling quite heavy. I am wondering how this will look in broad daylight.
