Bargin project bike.
Whats the rim size and spoke count ?Sjs do rod brake rims https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/rims-tape/westwood-28-x-112-635-chrome-rim-36-hole/
So finding a new one shouldn't be too hard (sjs do others)
i have a 50's Raliegh as a future project so not for me.

Thanks, @853Superfly ! I'm not too sure of the rim size. I actually just had a look, and it's not a rod brake, but some kind of weird rod-operated drum brake. So I suppose a modern 27" rim and tire could potentially work, the brake just looks like it will be a bit of work.

Not sure of the model, but I know it's an original Gazelle, probably from sometime in the 70s.
The front wheel was crushed in an accident a few years ago and just never got around the rebuilding the wheel. The main issue is that it uses rod brakes, and rims for those are a bit difficult to find!
Otherwise, loads of original features, including original Brooks Saddle, drum/rod brakes, dynamo hub and light, chain case, built in lock, full-bike kickstand, etc.
Happy to let it go for £30 if you think that's reasonable. Local pickup only, Clapton E5.
