Very nice.
I see that Backstedt was known as Magnus Maximus but what size is the frame ? -

Never mind the bike, what's the workstand?
The whole set-up there looks very pro: your shop?
-

It arrives tomorrow but allegedly 61 c-c with what appears to be another 4-5cm c-t. Maggy said it was built especially for him but that might just amount to the extended seat tube. I have to say i'm very excited at the prospect of it.

It's lovely, I'd be excited as well.

The DA crank, is it 7700 or 7600 ?
@Creek_Tebsin recently had a nice set of DA wheels for sale. -

The workstand looks like a 'Biccisupport' one, the Pro-Tour/BS101 model I think.

I picked up a second-hand BS100 model last year for 100€, pleased with it so far, holds the bikes nice and steady.Merckx frame is gorgeous btw.

I've got a Park tools stand I bought 10 years ago with some leaving vouchers from a job. It weighs a ton an I suspect things have moved on a bit. What i'd really like is to pick up a wheel jig and have a crack at wheel building

Rad big frame !

Cheers dude, let's hope I can do it justice with the build.

Amazing. I am dangerously envious.

If you're running this on the street, the splines will probably go to shit if not bolted down correctly.
I've had two sets, both torqued down to spec and they still went. Brklzz.
I'd just go full Sugino 75 on it if not a resto-mod.

Good advice Thrust, I'll take stock when it arrives. I notice it is coming with a square taper crank s o I might just see what cranks I can pick up in the short term that fit.

New project. Recently acquired Merckx Leader Pista frameset. Comes with bars, stem, seat post and saddle and i've acquired a dura ace 170mm crankset with bb. Just really missing wheels. Any suggestions? I might look to acquire a couple of sets. One for street use and another for rolling around the velodrome on. Anything that can reasonably double up also considered.
