I'd use an Open Sport rim rather than Open Pro. It's a lot cheaper, same dimensions, but thicker braking track, so more durable. My Open Pros were always a bit fragile (dented easily) and I relaced the wheels with Open Sports and have had no problems since.

A matter of some consternation that these aren't merged into one thread.
So I'm building up a modest front wheel for an upcoming tour (and it'll be used for commuting too).I was thinking SP Dynamo PV-8 front hub with AXA Luxx70 front light (that's switchable between light and USB charging). And probably an open pro rim. Does anyone have experience with either of these or is there something else that I should be looking at?
