Yes Alex some driving intelligence experienced on that bit of road can be very low. Very much heal up rider.

That's on my commute and is always a bit sketchy heading southbound. After the lights the two lanes merge and people always drift over into you. Hope they're better soon.

It's not clear where the location/direction is from the ES article.
I agree, heading southbound it's sketchy as it goes from wide to narrower. Heading north, it's a bit sketchy after the lights as there's usually a lane of parked cars, so again, two lanes of traffic merging into one.

You're right it's not clear, but 'opposite Camden Road Overground station' suggests that the rider was going southbound. I think that's the most likely scenario.

Abdul Hadi was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries including a skull fracture, bleed on the brain and fractured pelvis. He remained in a coma for the next 18 months but sadly died in hospital on 13 July 2019, aged 49 – he never regained consciousness.
The driver has been convicted of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and perverting the course of justice after colluding with his father, younger brother and cousin.

Thanks, that solves the earlier mystery of direction, as it turns out the driver ran a red light, and the rider was trying to cross Camden Road on green. RIP Abdul Hadi. An immensely sad story, what a rotten way to die, and what utterly disgraceful behaviour on the part of the perpetrator and his family.
