SOLD, many thanks!
Dear fellow forummen and -women,
Ive been meaning to do this for ages, but this frame lingereing at my mums back in the Netherlands and me in Berlin meant it took me a while. Photos are from 03.08.2016 (hence the sunshine and phototitle), and I contemplated to keep it and hang it on the wall because its so pretty but Ive come to my senses and am putting it for sale. Its simply a beauty, but Ive become old and fat and pressed for time so my loss is your possibility.
From title:
1994 Gazelle Exception Frame and Forks in
731OS (Oversize) Race Tubing
with Noblex RVS stays and forks,
54 c-c toptube,
53 c-c, 56.5cm c-t seattube
crazy wheelbase of around 94cm!
I bought it I think in 2009 from a guy who bought it from a Van Tuyl mechanic. Its an early inception of the Exception, because from the serial it dates to a 1994, but the frame only appeared in the 1995 brochures, and then with a straight fork instead of my curved fork. Oversize tubes for stiffness, RVS stays and forks for lightness. Its designed as a crit/racing machine with very short wheelbase and little clearance.
Brazing of the RVS is shexay.
It has a couple of nicks and grazes notably on the headtube but is still in good to quite good nick. All straight, never crashed, no dings, etc. There's some smudge on the frame that I hadnt take off during taking the pics but I wiped that off.
For sizing; I reckon you all know what your size is, but I for one am 1m81 with 31" inseam and I happily rode this bike due to its relatively long tt of 54cm. Its a sporty fit though, and I am lead to believe I like smaller frames then somebody else my size.
A lot of detailed pictures attached.
For this unique F+F I would like:
200 pounds plus postage (which I think is around 20quid max)
tracked and insured from the Netherlands.
Please bear with me mum if it'll take a bit to post, as she's already doing me huge favour to post it.
Dibs and PM, any questions, shout, if prices are off, shout or offer..
Payment via Paypal please..
Thanks in advance, good one, :)
Ruud
