• Another beauty that needs to go since I need some funds for incoming projects. This time an beautiful Gazelle AA special. In my opinion this is the best colour scheme that Gazelle has used. In the Netherlands it's pretty famous since these are the exact same colours as the Gazelle sponsored Amstel Beer team had in 1984. According to the frame number, which is 3283793, this bike can also be dated back to 1984.

I've bought the bike from a former pro rider who lived in Roermond, a small place in the South of the Netherlands. I haven't changed much on this bike. Everything is still original, even the brake rubbers, and the saddle, which are both in a very good condition. All the cables and the handlebar tape have been renewed.

The bike is still in a very good condition. It has almost no paint damages, except one small scratch on the toptube. The chrome is still in a good condition. The frame itself is made out of reynolds 531C tubes, and has a lot of pantographes. Furthermore is the bike equipped with a Campagnolo Record group. Except the brake which are made by Galli. The wheelset consists of Campagnolo Record hubs laced to Wolber Super Champion Gentleman rims. Beautiful bike for a very fair price in my opinion. Pedals are not included in the sale.

    Sizing:
    Seattube: 56 cm
    Toptube: 57 cm
    Headtube: 16 cm

  • Where do you find so many good condition frames? You just finish building one, sell it and on to the next?

  • Very lovely bike. Would you say it's a prototype AA Super, that the pros would have had while they were still marked AA Special? No butterfly, internal routing. I have a Vredestein blue one similar (From you maybe)
    The rims are clinchers?

  • Stunning... even has the grommets on the top tube routing... really wish I had the money

  • No I have more then 60 bikes. I'm collecting bikes for 7 years know and in the Netherlands it wasn't that hard to find nice bikes, but those times are also changing here..

  • Hi Ben,

Yes, the rims are clinchers. Looks like a normal AA special to me, AA-Super's have the wishbone construction and this one also doesn't have a number holder, which is typical for pro-bikes.

  • Last (price) kick before moving this else :) £525..
