FS: USSR KhVZ (XB3) sport 55cm - EDIT - No Longer for Sale

I got this bike a couple years ago and have used it as my primary since, I love it. 1985 xb3 sport very ratty, rust and lots of paint chips NO DENTS. Measures 55 ctc top tube and seattube. Fits me great and I'm 176cm. This frame is literally a tank, makes for a great beater and is essentially a theft proof swag machine. Fork is obviously not original and headset only fits with tin can shims. headset is a little stiff and would probably need servicing + fitting new shims. Superbe cranks, campy record 49 chainring. Miche pistard wheelset (18t), both front and rear need new cartridges and spoke tightening. Izumi chain good condition (which is very noisy and squeaky oddly, KMC = ultimate stealthness), Easton risers , random seatpost random stem. Comes as is minus pedals and San Marco saddle. I'll throw in a cinelli saddle, blb saddle, drop bars and a roll of cloth grip.

hard to say never actually weighed it. definitely not a light bike, but it is fast

Hey, what's the issue with the headset and shims? Do the cups need shimming to sit firmly in the headtube? Also, 27.2 post? Room for 28c? Standard brake drop on front wheel?

I have a vintage raleigh nova sport racing bike from 1986, which has been fully serviced and restored to very good condition. Which is a bargain at £80.

Head tube is 30.4mm so ideally you want a 0.1mm shim all the way round the cups. Post is 26.4mm I think. 28c will fit if it's way back in the dropout. Can't comment on the fork because it's not original!
