Close but unfortunately no cigar!
I'm after either of these, but preferably IAM:
Thank you for the info though!

I know my bike isn't exactly the right colour and is the year before the IAM version but if you are tempted I could be persuaded on price...

Those Addict frames are fantastic particularly the black and red, I have a NOS CR1 SL waiting for me when I wear out my ex-conti pro team frame but I'd swap it in a heartbeat for an addict in my size :o)
As it happens there's a 56cm on ebay atm

Yeah, that one got listed today :-). Anyone after a mint DA9000 groupset? :-)
I found my CR1 (HMF) amazing, coming from an aluminium frame... but I was blown away by the performance of my Addict (HMF again). If you want a great all-rounder that you can ride 12h non-stop and not feel beat up afterwards - then a CR1 is for you. If you want outright performance - then go for an Addict. I just got bored of my matt black and would like to do an upgrade to HMX carbon.
P.S. CR1 SL are rare and I often wondered if that would be the best of both worlds :-).

My 61cm SL is 916g sans the BB cups and the fork 328g uncut so whilst circa 140g heavier than a 56 Addict HMX frameset there's not a huge difference. As you say though the geo of the Addict is more for out and out racing, the CR1 is more of an endurance with a nod to performance.
The only reluctance I have with the CR1 is as a clydesdale I'm not actually sure how wide a tyre I can get in there so for me my KTM does me fine for a small weight penalty as I can get a 27mm veloflex tub in at the back.
There's a 61cm blue and white Addict on ebay as well, if it was the black and red I'd be all over it. -

CR1 has also got those SDS inserts in forks that make it as comfortable on 7.5 bars as the Addict feels on 5 bars, haha.
IIRC, a friend I sold the CR1 to used to run 25 mm tyres fine and then even switched to 28 mm. Though probably not Continental, as they are bigger than other tyres to begin with...

there is such a bike on the french gumtree. the bike is in the south of france, looks like the seller is a shop, which is good because you shouldn't don't trust anyone selling hi-end bikes on this website unless you can collect.

Bump :)
Either the white/blue/red HMX Team IAM Cycling or black/red HMX SL.
Must be new or as-new.
Any leads are welcome :-).
Thanks!
