On the small side size wise and a flat bar MTB rather than road bike but I have this for £250

It was built up with new rims, headset chain, cassette etc. It has a Tange MTB sticker on it because I had one. I think this has been ridden twice on hardpack since being built, under 100 miles.

Cheers Tad, thanks for getting in touch. Think that will be too small for him, he was riding a bike around that size before his most recent one and found it far too small.
My housemate had his specialized sirrus stolen recent, and is looking for a new bike.
He's about 6ft, so is looking for a large bike, preferably with a fairly upright riding position. It's mainly for commuting and pootling around - He'd like something with flat bars, gears and in decent knick.
~£200 or less, though I might be able to convince him to stump up for something more expensive if it's in really good condition.
Cheers
