what is the chainset? looks like stronglight (oval in the middle) but if it's a magistroni, keep it! would be more period correct than campag?
-
• #15
Its a stronglight ;), then the axle is also Stronglight but the cups are Campa :P
haha it came with a whole mix, Normandy hubs on Mavic rims -

I'll have to dig them out 👍

This is definitely from the 50's not the 60's. Cinelli stopped using the wolf lugs around 1958! Lovely frame, wish i had a pista to match my road SC

Thank you man 🙏
After almost searching for the last 5 years for a Cinelli SC pista in my size
3 months ago i finally "found" one
and not your average greyish paintjob
You might wonder why the purple paintjob ?!?, this frameset was used by a Dutch trackcyclist Harrie Mater and his sponsor was "Unico Schilders" which translates in "Unico Painters" in English.
And because of sponsorship reasons the frame got this amazing purple paintjob, which i think looks awesome :)
.
.
This frameset dates back to the early 1960's and this can be seen by the Cinelli wolf ear lugs which was used untill 1968. After that Cinelli started using lugs with the three holes in the tops of lugs and started to appear on some frames.
.
I found this frameset with a whole mix of parts, and got the matching jersey which came with the bike.
I think i am gonna build this up with a Campagnolo inch pitch and no record hubs
Or FB hubs ?
What do you guys think ?
Cheers Kobe.
