Golf clubs don't work very well. Mine lasted about three weeks before splitting.

Cheers. Found some steel and aluminium rods in b&q for a few quid each. Got them sorted. Now to get a game together

Cheers. Got sorted. The golf clubs were the wrong size anyway. Steel tubes from b&q for a few quid each. Thought I'd try one aluminium too. Not just need to get a game organised

Awesome to hear you are playing! I have family in Belfast, will hit you up when I am next in town.
If you are going the diy route ski poles made of Alu 7075 are the best option and gas piping will do.
But it seriously is worth investing in some mallets as they are a lot easier to put together and will last longer.
Perro del Mallet, Milk, Magic and Fixcraft are all great companies that come from the community. -

We also have shafts for sale in Birmingham. £10 each. Send us a message

Yeah, give me a buzz if you're coming over and we'll get a game.
The steel poles I got seem to be holding up alright at the minute so when they break I may go for a 'proper' mallet. Perro del mallet had been mentioned to me

When our current mallets finally die I'll keep you in mind. Cheers
I'm in the middle of trying to get some polo games started in belfast.
I'm making mallets at the minute, mallet heads are sorted and I've been offered some old golf clubs to makes the shafts. Anyone any experience using golf clubs for mallets. Yes or no?
Ski poles are a nightmare to get my hands on so any tips on building mallets are greatly appreciated
Trying to keep the costs down to get started
