I have seen some good reviews on this guy..

There are quite a few place producing good quality finishes now.
In terms of reputation argos and Mercian have stood the test of time.
I've heard that they can take there time tho. -

Cheers all.
Seb - Will bookmark, looks good, got some Colnagos on there. Ideally I'd find someone in UK. But if not, then maybe worth a look.
Poetic - Yeah, the M-Level link is the one Wim recommends. Maybe really busy. Heard nothing back.
Wildwest - Mercian looks pricey, but might get an estimate from Argos.

Hi,
I'm on a holiday in Italy, that's why I'm maybe late with my reaction.
M-level is the one I recommend in comparison with other Belgian sprayers. I know he was an official Colnago resprayer some years ago and saw some of his resprays of a Master Extra Light (with the cyclist on toptube). It looked pretty ok but still it is not completely the same. Prices aren't cheap: he asks 120 € per colour used.
If you want me to, I can call him but maybe he is closed for summer holidays.

I had Argos refurbish my Colnago. They did an excellent job. Not cheap.

Thanks, Wim. I'll try a couple of UK places for quotes. Will come back to you if needs be.
Cheers, Yoav. Will get in touch with them and possibly Woodrup in Leeds.

Bob Jackson also do respraying worth checking. Quite good finishes not as good as Mercian and argos.

http://www.atlantic-boulevard.co.uk This place is near Manchester. Neill is a really nice guy and did a great job on my frame, but this was just a single colour so not a restoration but the website suggests he does do that!

Ah, cool, I hadn't heard of Atlantic B ... but there's lot of positives on an lfgss thread here https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/176509/
Will defo get in touch with them.
EDIT - Though also a scathing thread here, damn it https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/240286/#comment9862486

Before I start a project thread, one more question regards a respray - if anyone knows or has an opinion.
When it comes to decals, is that the best way to go, or do people get brand name etc done in paint these days?
-

You have convinced me that I need to get mine done. It's easy as its a single colour Ribble, but it's 853 and awesome, just looks scrappy.

Thumbs up emoji.

The painted decals is a premium finish because of the extra work involved. But most places would lacquer after decals so they would completely sealed and would not peel.
Brian rourke also do there spraying in house and I've just seen on Insta they've recently done a colnago. Looks great. Based in stoke.
Sorry to post another respray thread. I have done a search, honest.
I've picked up LeChef's Colnago Master 'pub' project. My intention is to restore it as the paintwork is in really bad nick. (https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/306866/#comment13711256)
So, can anyone recommend someone who would do a top notch job on a Colnago respray? I want to make sure I get it right if I'm respraying and I know you all want to kill me.
Any others?
