25/7/17 Update- see new items and freebies after the update title around half way through below list. Please check thread replies for details of what's sold of the earlier stuff...

Shimano XT M735 long cage rear mech and front mech.
A pair of 80's 8 speed XT front and rear mechs- there are slight scuffs along the rear mech's faceplate and a light scrape on the pivot to the left of it, but apart from that there's no other marks and jockey wheels are only just starting to show wear. Threads are all good with no seized bits and pivots have no play. Jockeys are original. The front mech is in pretty much exactly the same condition to the rear, except that it's tidier looking with there only showing a scuff on the top pivot. The chain cage shows some wear but its nothing to speak of. Band size is 28.6mm and it's a bottom pull design.
    £13 and £6- or £17 together.

Shimano XT M760 rear and front mechs.
Near excellent condition for these. The rear mech has slight scuffs to the ano finish But these might not show in the pics. There's also a small scrape over the frame attaching bolt. Jockeys only just starting to show wear. Threads are all good with no seized bits and pivots have no play. Jockeys are original and the rubber chain guard is still there. It's a nine speed mech. The front mech has no model number on it but I've checked on the 'net and it is. Some scuffs from frame fitment but that's it. Mechanically condition is the same as the above, with the cage showing scuffs to the finish from chain contact. The frame attaching bolt isn't original but has the same conical head shape so fits fine. Top or bottom pull. £17 and £5- or £20 together.

    Shimano XT M738 front mech.
A slightly later model than the above M735. This one has a matt black finish and has virtually no wear both from chain rub and scuffs to the finish. All the pivots are tight and nothing is seized. This is a bottom pull design and the clamp size is 31.8mm.
    £8

    Shimano LX M566 front mech.
Another 80's front mech. Cosmetically, condition is near excellent with only a slick scuff under the pinch bolt. There's virtually no chain rub wear. Mechanically, there's slight play in the pivots but this won't effect performance. This is a top pull design and band size is 28.6mm.
    £3

    Time ATAC Alium pedals
A nice set of these pedals. A bit of the finish has worn off from the rear of the pedals but they're still pretty smart. The sealed bearings are nicely smooth with no play. Threads are good.
    £13

    Titec seatpost.
Very little usage showing on this. No zigzagging and only a few scuffs around the logo which probably haven't been picked up in the pic. Clamp isn't damaged and all threads are good. 28.6mm diameter. 36cm length.
    £5

    Shimano MC18 rear mech.
A low end rear mech but in very nice condition. A few slight scuffs on the faceplate and a scrape below one of the pivots, and that's it. Jockey wheels hardly used. Chrome on the jockey cage still very shiny. Mechanically the pivots are tight and there's no seized bits
    £4

    Ascent stubbie bar ends.
Stubbie bar ends which show little usage besides some scuffing on the left hand one. Fit standard bar size.
    £2

  • Shimano LX M560 rear mech
There are scuffs to the paint here and there but it's not too bad. Jockey wheels only just starting to show wear. Threads are all good with no seized bits and pivots have no play. Jockeys are original. The only real thing to note is that there's some cosmetic damage where some goofball has drilled a hole going through to the pivot bolt probably to oil it:) This is reflected in the price.
    £3

Shimano Exage 400LX M400 front mech
This is a pretty rare one of the Exage models front mechs. Very good condition, there are scrapes along some of the painted edges but it still looks pretty tidy. Mechanically all's well, no play anywhere and all threads are good, the chain cage only shows a tiny bit of chain contact and chrome on the outside is excellent. Clamp size 31.8mm. Bottom pull.
    £5

    Ritchey seatpost
Very little usage showing on this. No zigzagging and only a few light scuffs to the ano finish which probably haven't been picked up in the pic. Clamp isn't damaged and all threads are good. The ano is matt not shiny and does show some staining from grease where it's been in the seat tube. 30.4mm diameter. 37cm length.
    £6

    Specialized seatpost QR clamp
Not much to say about this.there are some scuffs to the finish but it still looks smart. All threads are good. 31.8mm size. It's alloy.
    £3

    Amoeba seatpost
A 90's NOS seatpost but without the packaging. Has been stored properly though so no marks on it. Pretty rare and quality seatpost with matt finish. Diameter is 26.8mm and length 40cm.
    £10

    Tahoma seatpost
Another 90's seatpost but this one's used. Some zigzagging marks up to near where the X logo is but they're pretty faint and can't be picked up in the pic. Matt finish except for the clamp area. Also a rare and quality seatpost. Diameter is 27.0mm and length 40cm.
    £6

    X-Lite bar ends
Bar ends with dark pink ano finish. A good bit of scuffing but not too bad and the colour hasn't faded.
    £6

    Acor combi platform/SPD pedals
These are the platform pedals with SPD compatibility on one side. Not much wear on these but they do need a clean. Bearings nice and smooth after being serviced.
    £6

    Tioga City Slicker tyre
A NOS 90's tyre which still has the tiny rubber moulding sticky out things along the top showing. Just a bit dusty from storage. Size is 26 x 1.25". These are getting rare in this condition.
    £12

    TRO brake levers
Not sure if these are Tektro levers? I think the labels have come off them. All in getting condition with no scrapes and threads are good. The only thing to mention is that one of the cable tensioners is not original.
    £2

    Kooka chainring
110 BCD. 36 teeth and this looks like 9 speed. The teeth have wear past the ano finish as can be seen in the pic, but there's no shark finning on the other side. These are pretty rare and Kooka chainsets even more so.
    £10

    Shimano SG-X chainring
110 BCD. 46 teeth and this looks to be 9 or 10 speed. There's little wear on the teeth, although two show some small chips.
    £10

    Ride XC chainring
104 BCD. 44 teeth and this is a 9 speed, 4 arm chainring. The black ano on the teeth has worn off but the metal isn't worn.
    £10

    Shimano chainring
94 BCD. 42 teeth and this looks like a 9 speed chainring. Minimal wear on the teeth.
    £10

    Shimano SG chainring
74 BCD. 28 teeth and this looks like a 9 speed chainring. Minimal wear to the teeth.
    £5

    Shimano SG chainring
74 BCD. 30 teeth and it's a 9 speed chainring. Minimal wear to the teeth.
    £5

    Truvativ Howitzer crankset
Quite a bit of use on these. These are a double chainring version and fit 104 BCD chainrings (the above Ride one would fit). Pretty sure these fit the ISIS Drive bottom bracket design. The only small issue is that the r/h crank has lost the steel washer on the front of the pedal hole which prevent the pedal axle from grinding into the soft alloy of the crank. Another one could be fitted if you felt the need. All threads and ISIS splines are good.
    £3

    Tektro pedals
Similar wear on these to the above cranks. And these have got pretty try bearings by the feel of it. They still spin smoothly though and should just need servicing.

    Unbranded QR seatpost clamp
a green ano seatpost clamp- I can throw this in with anything else bought. For 31.8mm seat tubes. Perfect condition, no scuffs anywhere.

    UPDATE PARTS:

    Unbranded MTB forks
These are a pair of 80's light steel (cro-mo) straight leg, rigid MTB forks. They're nicer quality than the usual, thanks to the lightish material, plus their having quality chunky Spinner JI dropouts. They're the 26" size and 1" steerer length is 185mm with 32mm of that being threaded. Condition is very good, with only a few white oxidation spots showing, the most noticeable of which is on one of the dropouts. They're very smart still and the ano colour is a subtle black coffee colour which is almost matte. The threads are good. Stamped 1989 but not branded.
    £10

    Kona Velocity stem
Bit of a classic MTB stem now, IMO. This is a light steel stem, probably made from cro mo steel. The grey finish is showing some wear but still looks smart. There's a cable stop and guide underneath for canti brake usage. Length is 95mm and the upwards angle looks standard. Fits 1 1/8" steerers and 26mm bar clamps. The top bung is missing.
    £12

    Suntour XC Comp front hub
A 28 hole hub. Condition is excellent, with just slight marks around the spoke holes from spoke pressure. The XC Comp model is next in line after Suntour's top of the line XC model, so you know it'll be well made. Bearing condition is excellent and they're recently greased/serviced, feeling buttery smooth.
    £10

    Truvativ X-Flow chainset
A less common chainset from Truvativ. Chainrings are 22/32/42 teeth. Arms are 175mm. Condition is very good with some scuffs and a few tiny chips to the paint. Tapers and threads are fine. The teeth have had minimal wear. It's a bit of an unusual design, but the chainrings aren't replaceable in the normal way. All rings are fastened to the arms by a lock ring (I've checked this and it isn't seized) so you'd obviously need to find suitable ones when they're worn. They should last a good while though, being steel. These are pretty collectable now and the average price on the 'bay is £15, so my price is £12.

    Shimano STX RC front mech
Condition is excellent, with no play in the pivots and nothing seized. Minimal wear from chain contact. All threads are good. It's for bottom pull cables and the clamp size is 31.8mm.
    £5

    Kalloy suspension seatpost
A nice budget suspension seatpost, although it is tuneable using the allen key adjuster in the base. Length is 35cm and fits 27.2mm seat tubes.
    £5

    Unbranded new SPD cleats
New cleats, but no attachment bits are included. Look to be Shimano copies.
    £2

    Gripshift twist grip shifters
A set of 5 speed shifters with matching grips. Work fine. The grips are a bit worn.
    Freecycle

    Ritchey seatpost
A nice 2 bolt seatpost in good condition. The snag is that the post has a bend stopping insertion into the frame past the minimum insertion line. This might fit your bike and shouldn't worry you for any other reason since the bend looks to be only a few degrees at most, and it's an entirely backward sloping one, so that the only impact is that the post has a few mm's more layback than it was designed with. But, if you did want a post that inserts fully, you could always pop it into a vice with wide jaws and bend it straight again:)
Length is 35cm and fits a 27.2mm seat tube.
    Freecycle

Unbranded riser bars and stem with Power brake levers and unbranded twist grip shifters.
Shifters are 6 speed on the right and the left has a wide shift range to work with triples. Everything is in tidy condition- the only marks I can see are two lines on either side of the clamp area which look to be from cable rub. Bar width is 60cm and the stem's is 5.5cm. Shifters work fine and the adjusters aren't seized. The stem is for 1" steerers and its cap is missing.
    Freecycle

    Avenir quick release seatpost clamp
A chunky quick release, although its chrome is a bit tatty. The threads are good.
    Freecycle

    Shimano Altus front mech
A mech that is mounted by having a bottom bracket cup clamp it to the frame. Not sure if this is for triple chainsets as the cage design looks more like a double, but you'll probably know yourself if you're actually reading this:) In excellent condition and I can't see marks from chain contact.
    Freecycle

    Lee Chi riser bars
A pair of basic steel bars. Condition very good, besides for what looks like a cable rub mark near the clamp area.25.4mm clamp size. Length is 61cm.
    Freecycle

    Unbranded disc rotor
An unusual size of rotor- this being 145mm. For 6 hole hubs. Wear is minimal.
    Freecycle

    Unbranded granny ring
This is a 28 tooth alloy chainring. Looks to be unused as there's no wear to the teeth. Just needs a clean.
    Freecycle

One thing I'd ask if you're interested in any of the above freebies is that if you take more than one you do so together with an item for sale. Otherwise, make a forum donation and show me the receipt:)

NB see my other thread (https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/305480/#comment13659319) for some bike bits of the more unusual kind:)
