• Noticed a couple of tokyo fixed bikes being powder coated at a place I thinking of using. Seems like someone on here so was wondering if it was for feed back.

  • Rodman Bros are good. I use them for furniture quite a bit, but not yet sent a frame there. They had a tandem being sprayed flouro pink when I was there yesterday.

  • Wandering around on google, Armourtex have moved near there too. This chap has a unit on Garman road.

I'm not getting frames done, just some architectural bits. The work I saw there was really good.

  • Just resurrecting this as I live about 1 min from Rodman Bros and want to get a frame powder coated. Did anyone have any experience with them for frames?

There's also Enfield Power Coating a bit further up the road but can't find any info on them so a little wary.

  • Not done a frames, just furniture parts but they’re good, not mad pricey. Can be a bit slap dash on the details but explain it clearly in person and make sure they understand the important bits and you’ll be fine. Nice guys.

  • Great cheers - will give them a call.

  • The blaster/powder coater I used was destroyed when fire happened on garman road industrial estate.

Isn't Rodman Bros run/owned by the people who used to own armourtex or something like that?

  • Nope.

They now do sand blasting too, though I’m not sure if trust them with really thin wall fancy steel.

  • I believe that's Aurum but not sure.

Had a quote from Rodman today (£100+vat) so just weighing it up. Aluminium frame (Caadx). Just want it to look cool!

  • They'll do it for cash / no VAT too.

  • This is great intel, cheers.

  • What are they doing for £120?

  • Strip, powder coat and (I assume) lacquer. Have had a couple of quotes for £70ish too.
