The recall was to do with the original S2 forks I think.

I also bought an S2 and then found out about the recall.
After looking at loads of photos, it seems the S2 that was recalled was the one with a bottom bracket lug, and as mentioned the recall was fork related.
I rode the S2 quite a bit without problem, and the subsequent owner has done the same.If you wanted to be absolutely certain, just swap out the fork.
Recently bought a Tokyo Fixed S2 Frame on here, it's a nice project for me that will eventually turn into a nice bike for my girlfriend. I'm just trying to find out a bit more about the frame. From what i can tell they first made it in 2009 from columbus thron but i guess there must have been another version. The frame i've picked up is like this:

(no columbus sticker)
my biggest concern is that I found an "recall" post from 2013 on their facebook page, which is slightly disconcerting but i can't click through as the page cannot be found.
Does anyone have any info about them? used to work there or had one or remembers the recall for whatever reason? basically would just like to know what it's made from and if it's a death trap. Any help would be much appreciated.
