Lovely RIH!!
Cables are a bit clashy though - maybe white?

I think the cables work well with the accents in the head badge, bottle holder and saddle and with the gumwall tires :-)

It's getting somewhere: Deda "Speciale" handlebar, Brooks leather bartape and de-anodised Campagnolo Nucleon clinchers instead of the tubular wheels Don't worry, I've ordered a fresh set of Veloflex tires :)

Most classic style bike I have seen here.
How did you de-anodise the rims? -

Because the spokes are steel and already silver I didn't have to disassemble the wheels. I used an old oven dish (lasagna size) filled with drain cleaner - the variety consisting of those silver-grey beads - dissolved in luke warm water. Then simply dip a section of the rim for about five minutes, then whipe off the black color with a Brillo pad, then rinse with water (I used the shower head). Repeat untill you've done both wheels. Then work lightly with a scotch brite pad for a semi gloss shine and that's actually all there is to it. I did a couple of handlebars and two DP18 rims in the past so I knew this works.
Building this 53cm RIH for a friend. A quick mock-up for bike fitting. Will switch the headset for Campagnolo and the handlebar for a Deda Speciale for 2cm less reach but I'; m quite pleased with the overall picture...
