I have an 11 speed 105 front shifter that is not downshifting.
The secondary lever behind the shift paddle is stiff to operate and it is not engaging with the notch on the rotary cam on the main assembly. In the photos below I show the problem viewed from the rear underside of the shifter. In the first the lever is in it's correct position. In the second the lever is swung out where the paddle has sent it on a shift. In normal operation this lever should return with the shift paddle. I have removed the plastic cover on the underside of the shifter and adjacent to this mechanism and it is not implicated with this problem. The cable was perfect when removed and the hoods on the 11 speed system do not foul the mechanism like they do on the 10 speed.
Fix-able or bin-able?
