10 speed MTB Dyna Sys

So I got a bit excited and ordered some 10 speed shifters. Not sure why. Might as well upgrade my 1x9 to 1x10 though whilst I'm at it (now that 1x12 exists I feel its time to 'upgrade' - always behind the curve).

Obviously I'l need a new chain and cassette. I'm guessing I can't use either of my 9 speed rear mechs either (LX non-shadow and XT shadow)? - could probably do with a clutch mech anyway Deore looks good and cheap.

Should I not get on with the rapidfire shifters can I go back to thumbies? (I have Dura Ace 10 speed bar cons - I have the Paul DT shifter mounts but as DT shifters are traditional SIS and not dyna sys I'm guessing its a no-go?)

I can use the 9 speed stuff on my pub bike anyway.

I have some microshift 10 speed bar end shifters that might work .. I got them in hope to convert my daily bike to drop bars but never got round to do it and not sure if I want to.

I know Microshift make some dynasys compatible bar cons, not sure if there is a way to tell which is which.

I'll see how I get on with the rapidfires first.
