@dicki 51 cm seat tube CTC and 53 cm top tube CTC and yeah sure
@mattyc sureNot much will happen to this until we are both back in London in about a weeks time.
In the meantime I've got some cinelli criterium bars and a cinelli 1a (100mm) which will go on
I'm thinking I'm going to put a black tange headset in as a placeholder - I could nick the DA one from my martrac but I don't know if the silver will work or not...
Is there a decent headset that comes in black? -

This one is really good for the money: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/bbb-bhp-15-threadaround-headset/
Would take the BBB logo off though.

That looks cool as, you going to build it up?
-
• #13
For the moment I think it'll stay as a frame, she wants to build it up with period-correct parts (probably Campag Pista stuff - I have a Khamsin rear disc, LA84s, 24" Record Hub laced to Wolber rim and Campag Pista pedals). I imagine this will be a long run build.
This is what it looked like when I had it (I have put new tubs on the wheels since).
With new tubs, no brake and gold tape.

We mocked up the Gazelle frame:
- Miche Pista/RD wheels
- Unbranded seatpost
- Turbo saddle
- @haveo 's Salsa stem and bars
Clearances are super sexy
This is the Miche crankset that we're probably going to use, however this might go on my Dolan and the DA crankset with a smaller ring will go on here or maybe we'll use the 51T ring with a big rear sprocket.
It all looks a bit weird without a headset, hopefully headset and bottom bracket will go in tomorrow, and the silver bars mentioned above will arrive later today.
Not sure about black bars vs silver bars, but we'll see, this will depend on the headset too.

We'll cycling one day together.

looks excellent! you could just spray the silver bars black in the middle... or tape right up to the stem...

Ah almost bought that A while back. Wish I did! Looks excellent.

Subbed. That Gazelle is amazing. It's like the better-looking, wild gypsy cousin of the Gazelle track bike I just built for my other half.

Just to add to the pile of frames that will one day maybe be built
We (I) bought another. It's a Reynolds 653 Peugeot, with lovely tricolour fades, it's fully chromed underneath the paintwork. It's almost definitely too big to be built into a road bike (for her). So it's probably going to be made into a sporty porteur, a sporteur(?) for the two of us to use.
It's currently balanced on @haveo 's wheels - so they won't stay.
Decided to make a project thread to show a Gazelle Sprint that I'm building up for my better half.
It lived at Edinburgh Velodrome for many years and several development squad riders used it.
It's a sprinters frame with a slightly sloping top tube, rear wheel indent, tight clearances and a wishbone. It has a slightly odd frame number, apparently it was a special order from Gazelle.
The plan is to build it with spares (miche bits) unless she can convince me to lend her some DA.
Hopefully this will be a fairly quick build as it's going to be mainly spares (unless she really likes it)
Here is the frame as it stands
And the money shot
