What is your budget? do you want a classic or modern looking wheelset? Do you want a flipflop hub (freewheel one side and fixed cog the other)? What frameset are the wheels for?

Either of these. You will get much better value than buying new. -

I initially wanted to get the £575 new Langster but I have my heart set on the Pro frame now, that frame is around £400 so ideally I would like to keep it the budget within £1000.
I would allocate up to £300 for the wheels.
Ideally a flip flop but could live with just one free wheel cog. Flip flop would be better as I would like to get used to riding without coasting every now and then.
I like the American Classic ones, and I normally prefer slim black rims/tires with a thicker/longer edge, like most of these Carbon ones have.

Hubs should be standard with axles 120x10 and 100x9
For the road a higher spoke count will give you stronger wheels needed for daily abuse. Something around 32 would be good, less is fine though they might need a true every now and then.
Just looks for fixed fixed or fixed free to tell you whether it can take a freewheel or is limited to fixed cogs. That being said, I've used a freewheel on a fixed hub before. There's usually enough thread. -

I am not even sure where to invest most of my money left @farewell.
Wheels or saddle, or the crankset (seen some go up to £300 and I can't for the life of me understand how's that better compared to a £60 one).
As I said, don't wanna fall into that trap where products come out every year and are the same shit but with a different marketing strategy as in new fancy acronyms, etc.

£100 posted - Can also throw in a couple of sprockets (EAI 14T and Dura Ace 15T), lockrings and tyres/tubes.

When I was looking these were recommended:
http://v-sprint.com/product/carbon-alloy-wheels/track-wheels/custom-hand-built-miche-track-wheels/
£10 off with 'lfgssprice'
Can anyone please advise of what to look for in a set of clinchers?
I am asking as the offer is huge and I am lost.
Basically, I don't want to end up paying £500 for a set of wheels that have a bit of [insert fancy color or decals here] and words like Pro, Speed, 4D, Extra something, etc when the previous versions are very similar and do the same job but at half the price - clearance and/or sale sections are full of very good deals apparently?
I appreciate some help on this, and sorry for the long post.
(Semantically wise, it's not right to call a freewheel bike a fixie, is it?)
