Cheap geared beater for my little brother

Hi all,

My little brother has had his hybrid bike stolen but is too skint to get a new one.

He's 6 foot! and only rides a few miles to college and looking for something as cheap as possible. Based in kilburn but happy to collect anywhere in London.

If you have anything even if it needs a bit of TLC he'll be interested. Please let me know

Road bike? I was going to put my Trek 1.1 up for sale this weekend as it's not getting used. 56cm frame, Dug it out last weekend after a long time in storage and the only issue i can see is the SPD's are seized in the cranks (soaked them in oil so will try and get them off this weekend). Sure it could do with a minor service but the condition is pretty good and its very rideable. Can throw in Crud mudguards and rack. Looking for £120 or £100 if i can't get the pedals off. Can get pics if interested, see link for specs

Im based in Kilburn, and I have a 2003 Trek Alpha 4300, fully stock, with an 8 speed cassette. Needs a new front wheel and new shifters. Other than that, its condition isn't too bad, and I rode it comfortably when I was 6'0, now 6'3 and growing so won't ride it all too much. Will do it for £50
