Mezzo D10 folding bike with rack bag

  • Selling this on behalf of my girlfriend's dad...

Really good folding bike here. It has been used for commuting between kings cross and central London for a few months, then put away in a nice dry shed. Now seeking a new home. It has some scratches on the main body (top tube if we can call it that?) and the odd nick here and there on other parts such as the rear derailleur and top cap. However it runs really well and is good to go for use and abuse as is.

As this isn't my bike I can't wax lyrical about how great it is, but I've given it a good look over and a run around the block a few times and it feels great for a folder. Really stiff and reassuring in its ride. The owner really is fond of it but has a more suitable mountain bike for pootling around Kentish countryside tracks. From what I've been reading this thing is pretty comparable to a Brompton and in a number of ways better, but just a little heavier and has a slightly bigger footprint when folded. It's all stock parts with listing found here http://www.foldingbikes.biz/page21.html Here's a review which makes it sound like a pretty solid choice for a bike http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/bikes/folding/product/review-mezzo-bikes-d10-09-33775/

It comes with the bag that was produced for it. Pretty nifty in the way it latches on and fits perfectly. Enough space for a set of work clothes, lunch and other gubbins along with a padded section for a laptop and a high-viz rain cover.

The last one of these to sell on the 'bay went for £500 and appeared to have a few less scratches but didn't include the bag which I imagine would be hard to track down as they are no longer produced from what I can tell. So... I think £500 £480 now £460 is a fair price, but we're both keen to see it go to a good home so if you want to make a fair offer then fire away? Would really prefer not to post as I'm not really too sure of the best way to pack it up. It can be collected from Vauxhall, or potentially can be ridden to somewhere reasonable. Any questions please ask and if the price is wrong do say so.

I'd echo this - I remember when the Mezzo was first introduced, I worked in a bike shop and the distributor representative actively encouraged me to take the demo model out on some singletrack to see what it could do...

  • Likewise: I had a D10 for a while and did some mild off roading with it in the summer of 2011. Regret having sold it, and would buy this if I had any use for a folder in my life. I really preferred it to the ubiquitous Brompton.

  • Thanks for the words @SimonC and @Ludd

Really not sure of price on this... drop to £480 for a weekday bump...

  • interested in viewing at weekend. could meet central. PM me to discuss.

  • PM'ed buddy.

  • This has had a week on here with little interest. Last attempt at a price drop to generate some before trying elsewhere. £460 or offers!

  • Morning, is the bike still available?

  • @JonoMarshall yes it is. I got a bit lazy in attempting to sell it over the Christmas break. PM if you're interested.

  • This still available???

    Thanks

  • Hey @Roops yes indeed. Make an offer.

  • Hey, don't suppose it's still around is it? Been looking for this exact model for ages!

  • @Cords have PM'ed. Still about. Hope to hear from you.

  • Hello, Good morning. Looks like a long time has gone since the last post on this thread, is the bike still on the market?

  • I've sent you a PM. It's still available and still a really fun bike.

  • This may be a bit of a long shot, but is the d10 still there?
