I hitchhiked around there a few years ago,
there was one hostel which stuck in my head as amazing, think it was just called 'friends'
Also, south of the island tends to get better weather, north they have a system that the locals call 'the donkeys ass' which is basically just fairly constant cloud cover...
Also if you go up the mountains there are caves you can stay in, it's really beautiful to wake up essentially in the clouds as they drift down mountain but could be some fairly hard riding to get there...
Not really sure about cycling, keep the thread updated if you find good things out? I'd love to visit again with a bike!

We stayed in Malpalomas. Would very gladly have stayed closer to Playa de Mogan if I went again. Happy to suggest some good riding if you need.

Please do! Staying next to playa del ingles, hiring bikes locally.

When you are mainly riding uphill massive Mamil headtubes make a lot of sense. Di2 disc Synapse on Mallorca was ace

Intrigued to get your thoughts on the cycling and the island. My mate and I are looking into going there or maybe Tenerife in April.

If you are in the south here is a nice little climb, only a Cat 3
-
• #22
Do you have a route/ride that includes it?
-
• #23
No sorry, but it is an offshoot of the Ayagaures Valley loop which is popular. I was out there last November and so were Team Sky & Tinkoff Saxo.

I appear to be in trouble for moving my stem down.
Heading there for the 19th of November for a week - plane tickets booked but not yet got accommodation?
