May be able to help out here. Need to do a bit of a clearout. Any particular genres you're after?

Nope - open to anything, it can be a learning experience.

If I ever get a car, I am going to try and get a Nakamichi TD 1200 to put in it.
What have you got? -

Whatever was specified in 1996 and 1998, one's a Becker, the other's whatever this is:

I think in this day an age the "anti theft" feature is that it is a tape deck.

NO! That's against the entire spirit of this.
I have a fondness for really old tapes that have got a bit hot in the car in the summer and seem to speed up and slow down. Some of the old Essential Mixes and Danny Rampling tapes I owned were played literally to death.

I threw away hundreds when I moved house last year. Never thought anyone would have a use for them anymore.

it's very much a dead media now. Did I mention that both cars have CD multichangers as well? I suppose hoping for mini-disc was a bit ambitious.

I have hundreds of tapes that I still listen to. I'd be happy to lend you some Neil but since you don't live in London it might be difficult.

Like I said, not really London. Maybe we could do an occasional meet and swap? I imagine you could stretch to a decent sandwich?

We have a tube station- must be London.
Anyway, yes- sounds good, where are you normally to be found of a lunchtime?

In a staffroom somewhere in Hackney (London). I'll get back to you on social media. No point sharing our love trysts in public.

The Fox flies at midnight
I have a couple of old bangers, they both have tape decks - the only tape I could find to listen to the other day was The Orb, which I appear to have purchased on double-tape-album in probably 1993.
Does anyone have an old shoebox full of tapes? If so I'll give them a good home in my glovebox and will listen to them for (possibly) the first time in 15-20 years.
