I'm selling this bike which I bought as a stopgap to give cyclocross a go. I enjoyed the feel of riding it, and its performance on the Lea River towpath in particular, so much that I decided to buy a cyclocross bike on Cyclescheme for commuting and sell this and my previous commuter instead.
It's the 2011 model and has been used reasonably frequently since 2011, and the condition reflects this. There are marks on most of the frame, but nothing too major or concerning.
The wheels have also seen better days - the front has taken a bash at some point and has a bit of a kink which you can feel under braking.
It also has mismatching brakes - the rear brake had a seized spring when I bought the bike, and so I replaced it with a golden 'Frogs Bollox' canti. I can also give you the matching front if you'd rather double golds. New brake pads and cables all round.
Brief specs:
Frame: Size XL, 58cm seattube and 57cm top tube - set up for me at 188cm/6ft2 and it's definitely not an aggressive position. Perfect for commuting or longer rides. Mudguard and rack mounts
Fork: Specialized FACT carbon/alloy steerer. Rack mounts. Some possible bubbling under paint - see picture
Seatpost: Specialized FACT carbon wrapped, 27.2mm
Tiagra 3x9 groupset (Ultegra BB has been fitted at some point, chainset recently removed and splines regreased to eliminate a creak, now it's beautifully quiet)
Big cassette
Stock Specialized bar & stem, crosstop levers
Brand new Schwalbe CX Comp 700x30c tyres (nb not the Challenge tyres shown)
Please note the pedals, Garmin mount and cat pictured are also not included. But you can have the bell
Collection is from Forest Gate, E7. I could maybe bring it to you somewhere a bit further away if you're lucky.
Priced to sell and take into account minor issues mentioned above: £175
