Shaun,
Silchester used to be known as Calleva in Roman times so you might be duplicating what someone has already asked about Calleva CC (maybe).
Look at this and it may help or put you on a route to your answer:

Thanks for that and appreciated,
I've just pm'd regards that thread. A possibility - though there is a reference on the internet to the cups and trophies from the Silchester CC being auctioned off some years ago. Someone on ebay is currently advertising a Silchester CC badge so that name seems to be a constant.

There's got to be a connection even if it's just a rival bike gang from the exact same area. Good luck with your quest.

You might find an answer if you put the question on timetrialing forum, there's a lot of older riders lurking there http://www.timetriallingforum.co.uk/

Thanks for that, I've now got the answers I was seeking - Silchester CC was a London club originating from North Kensington, formed in the 1930s and nothing to do with the village of that name near Basingstoke. It folded around 1966 And the clubs colours were orange and black...
Shaun
Hoping someone amongst you may be able to help me out.
Does anyone know what the club colours were for the former Silchester C.C ? (located on the Berkshire & Hampshire border). I note that their club silverware was auctioned off a few years ago..
I have a vintage frame that I'm restoring and it has the club name neatly painted on the top tube. I'd like details of the colours so that I can recreate them on part of the frame.
With thanks
Shaun
