59.5 cm (23.5") rare Dave Lloyd 90's Columbus SLX

Beautiful and rare Dave Lloyd Columbus SLX frame and forks from the 90's. The bike is shown fully built nut I am only selling the F&F.

Dave Lloyd was one of the few approved 753 frame builders and this can be seen in the quality of his work.

The finish around the lugs and bottom bracket is flawless.  The fork crown and brake bridge are beautifully engraved. Cables route through the top tube and number boss. The bottom bracket she'll has DL cut into it.

Occasionally Dave built SLX frames to order for those who wanted the quality of an English frames builder but with qudos of Italian tubing. Columbus SLX can be chromed where as it was not recommended on 653 and 753.

SLX was one of the top old school tubes of its time.

The chainstay and rear dropouts are chromed.  The chrome itself is in lovely condition.  

The frame has seen no work over the last 10 years as the previous owner placed it carefully in storage.

The frame is free from any dents and there are few marks in the paint here and there but nothing major.  The only issues are a small scratch on the forks and some corrosion under the paint around the rear brake cable exit.  The corrosion is limited and could probably locally painted.

I purchased the bike mainly for the groupset to fit to one of my spare frames.

Many thanks. I wasn't sure about the price really but happy to let it go for a sensible amount. The bike was well looked after as the Ultegra groupset was as new.
