For sale is my old bike box. Has been faithfully shuttling my bike around for quite a few years now and I have decided to treat myself to something new.
A you can see from the photos, the luggage handlers have had a good go at destroying it, meaning that there are a number of bodges involved in keeping the thing rolling:
New caster wheels installed
Missing zip puller replaced by split ring
A couple of the fixings replaced by zip ties
Sounds pretty terrible, but I have to say that the EVA material is a really good compromise between weight and safety meaning you can fill it full of stuff and still not fall foul of weight limits.
Packing is fairly straight forward. Wheels come off and are fixed to the side wall using the supplied skewers. Next remove the seat post. Then remove the stem bolts and fold the handlebars flat. Finally zip tie the rear hanger up against the stay to ensure it doesn't get bent en route.
Also included are 2 x Campag wheel bags, centre foam pad to separate the wheels from the frame, and various bits of pipe lagging.
£50. Collection from Oakwood tube station (Picadilly line) please.
Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.
Tips:
Create headers by underlining text with ==== or ----
To *italicise* text put one asterisk each side of the word
To **bold** text put two asterisks each side of the word
Embed images by entering: ![](https://www.google.co.uk/images/srpr/logo4w.png) That's the hard one: exclamation, square brackets and then the URL to the image in brackets.
* Create lists by starting lines with asterisks
1. Create numbered lists by starting lines with a number and a dot

For syntax highlighting, surround the code block with three backticks:
```
Just like Github, a blank line must precede a code block.
