  • The serial number on commemorative front badge is 003 1984

  • Awesome find!
@Reinier89 restored one of these: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/265863/
@anidel is a moser expert, so maybe get in touch with either one of them.

  • Thank you @Sig_Arlecchino
    I'm waiting for @anidel opinions

  • Ah :) I fear you've already asked the proper Moser expert via other means. Not much I can add to his knowledge I am afraid.

  • Hi, a friend of mine some days ago bought this beautiful bitch.

Please tell me this was unintentional.

    I can't stop laughing.

  • ;) ok. We can keep in touch

  • ;) ahhahaha yes, of course

  • up

  • no news?

  • This advert (dated 1984) says that a special limited run (only for custom orders) will present a silver and gold headtube badge with the serial number (#003 on your friend's) and the name of the owner.
Included on the deal they'll give the owner theft insurance cover and a sweater with a Va Por La Hora bike printed on it.

According to the low S/N and the numerous stickers I suspect it was for a F.Moser dealer, called Tino Vassallo, shop still open now in Catania, Southern Italy.

Judging by the brakes and crankset, few parts were replaced during the years.

  • And so begins the unstoppable and restless hunt for the sweater.
    Good luck!

  • Thank you so much man

  • On the friend of mine bicycle hasn't a nome of owner on the plate. For this reason i think it is a present from Moser to Tino. But i'm not sure.
Another question... the modolo kronos brakeset isn't a 1984 era and period correct on this?
Thank you all and specially @Breso replay

  • Yes, Modolo Kronos are indeed period correct.
However the poor quality illustration on the advert shows normal SR brakeset, but of course we can't vouch that all of them came out from the factory equipped with full SR.
Probably just the crankset has been replaced then!

  • thank you indeed @Breso
