So this is the frame, bought via gumtree
Plans for now include painting or replaceing fork with a drilled alpina, wrapping seat tube to cover uglyness, and replace everything else. not sure on bars yet
curent parts aquired:
Crankset (not decided on chainring yet)
Front wheel:
May also be picking up a Xentis Mark 1 as a third option
Rear wheel:
Currently undecidedSeat: Clasic flite is the current plan, red saddle on red frame taboo?
Stem: shopping a threadless salsa, may have a salsa quil up for sale soon
Bars: unsure, probably risers of some kind, but drops not out of the question.
Seatpost: have a cannondale carbon post that will be getting rotated over.

These are genuinely great frames - I loved mine, I'd happily buy another one.

yeah, i have heard good things. and i think they are the only ones still afordable. looking at some of the other caad track frames the prices have doubled in the last year

What's the diff between a capo and track?

Great versatile frames these, will reluctantly be selling mine on soon as don't ride it enough. If it's any inspiration here's the build.

Well they are all track frames. the earliest where the early 90s cannondale track's. then there are the later Caad track frames/major taylor frames etc. Then there are the later Capo frames, victims of terrible paint jobs and marketed as fixie/ss bikes thanks to the boom of the mid to late 2000s. the caad frames and the capo frames seem to be similar. then there are the newest CAAD 10 track frames victims of weird geometry and ridiculous wheel clearence

Yeah bought it to have a brake option due to police crackdowns and large fines here

Really digging the look of these with alpina's

New project means new motivation. Finally un-ghettoing my hed wheel set. Replacement proper front track axel setup in the mail for the trispok, shifted parts to the disc to replace the weirdo qr setup on these early hed discs. Just need a 10mm trak axel and some spacers and done. Regret not fixing this better a year ago.

Best bike i ever had. ever.
Sold it to a mate who lives round the corner.
Still upsets me when he comes out on it and he's riding it not me :( -

CAAD frames and Capo frames are identical geometry to the mm

Nice, I thought so but didn't have confirmation.

Did you end up sorting a sensible postage option out with the seller ?
-
• #22
No haha, just decided bargain frame balanced insane shipping.
-
• #23
Haha, damn you wanted that frame! Look forward to seeing what you do with it !

And about $1500 lol
Decided to convert all my bikes to Cannondale's but cant justify the premium demanded for track frames at this point. Sent payment for a slightly unloved and ugly red capo last night and hope it will arrive in the next week or so.
inspiration for the build is this one but red seat tube not weird black wrapping.
