Just received a new Pro Carbon with SRAM Force 22 from Planet X which will be the wife's new bike. Pretty good deal I think.
I've been setting it up for her over the weekend (gears were set up terribly from the shop!) and spotted some damage and I'm after some opinions. Basically, is it an issue or not? I've not owned a carbon frame before but am fine with building and setting up my own bikes usually.
There's some minor cracking on the head tube near the top headset race. I'm guessing from fitting the headset awkwardly or perhaps dropped before the headset was fitted.
I think it looks superficial but really not sure. Is there a metal inset in the carbon where headsets and BB's press in to?
I've been on the phone to Planet X who I'm sure will help resolve but I think they are likely to offer some money off or credit as an option - which might be acceptable provided this isn't dangerous.
Thanks for the replies. I'll arrange for it to be exchanged hopefully.

Formatting Help
Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.
Tips:
Create headers by underlining text with ==== or ----
To *italicise* text put one asterisk each side of the word
To **bold** text put two asterisks each side of the word
Embed images by entering: ![](https://www.google.co.uk/images/srpr/logo4w.png) That's the hard one: exclamation, square brackets and then the URL to the image in brackets.
* Create lists by starting lines with asterisks
1. Create numbered lists by starting lines with a number and a dot

For syntax highlighting, surround the code block with three backticks:
```
Just like Github, a blank line must precede a code block.
If you upload more than 5 files we will display all attachments as thumbnails.
