you sure £600?
-

Hi mariofuckinghantous, that was quick :) As I said, reasonable offers welcome. Most parts have hardly been ridden. New, the parts come to £750+. Also, Armourtex have upped their prices by now so it would probably be even more today. There are probably cheaper paint outfits but I haven't seen any better ones so far :) I am not desperate to sell, would keep the bike if my gf wasn't 'kindly asking' me to not have more than 2 bikes in the flat...

£600 is too much for a dolan on here, or even anywhere else.. specially when you can get a brand new pre cursa for £450.
do you have any photos? what's the custom paintjob like?
edit: parts are either unbranded or Blb, that doesn't help a £600 either

Rare tyres though.

Well, as you will know, it's not all about the frame. Feel free to price it out and you will come to £750 for this setup. Regarding pictures, what are you after. I only uploaded the overall one, happy to take detailed ones on request for people who are interested. Cheers

With respect, you must be sniffing glue to ask for 600 for this. There's someone selling his Precursa for 350 and that has the same wheelset and better bits. THAT is closer to a reasonable price.

• #8
Could you please list the prices for the components. It might help you get your asking price.

@lazysuperhero: No reason to be rude about it. Feel free to get the one for £350
@bazschmaz: will edit in prices later or tomorrow

Sorry if my quip hurt you. I'm not trying to buy. This isn't just a shop. It's a community as well.
Whatever happened to being part of a community, doing a little search, seeing how similar things have sold in the past and pricing things fairly?
That's the motivation behind my comment. This community and its members have helped me in the past, to understand and learn about what's a fair price for things before i bought. If you wana put magic prices and see who'll pay over the odds then go to gumtree or ebay. In any case GLWS.

Added NEW prices for all parts. Comes to £805 without labour. So still think £600 is a good price but as I said reasonable offers are welcome. Just PM me. Good night.

For second hand parts, 50% of the original cost is a good point to start. This isn't a high quality build and someone could build a much better full bike for less than you're asking for that. Anyhow, nobody is losing out but you since nobody on here will pay that. GLWS

What Phil said... New and still in the packet 80% of original cost. Fitted parts 50% of original costs. Used parts decrease in value unless they are super pimp, super rare and make of moon cheese.
I've got a PC. They are excellent bikes. The resale value is pish. Ride it until either you or it snap.

Never seen somebody include the price of the paint job.
If you're splitting I'll take it.
Sorry.

Thanks Phil and Baz for your constructive comments. I agree that in general the 50% rule makes sense but (and I know this is hard to prove so probably my bad) many of the parts are as new and I feel there should be some value on building up the bike. Well, as you said my loss if it doesn't sell. Maybe I'll repost in a few weeks if it is still around then. Cheers

would you accept £50 for the paint job posted?
thanks

I still don't understand. A new one with a carbon fork is £450 or, you buy this silver one with an alloy fork, ripped saddle, scratched seat post and horrible white tyres for £600.
I suggest an ebay auction so we can all be proved wrong.

Don't forget to add on the cost of your travel to/from Armourtex.

hahaha!

Building the bike doesn't add any value to it. It's not a bike if it's not built. Nor does a paint job since your buyer probably didn't ask for it or particularly want your respray.
Split it and eBay the parts for the most money back. And in the future, don't buy new and don't buy blb -
• #24
Good to know, Phil - next time I want a new bike I will buy all the parts and then PM you to come over and build the bike for me ;))
-
• #25
You're not going to see sense but what the hell. You pay for labour, you don't pass on labour charges to the next owner. Especially if it was only your labour in the first place. I'd gladly buy the bike in bits rather than pay for you to have put your own bike together and then rode it for a year before giving it to me.
Hi all,
I am selling the complete bike only as it is pretty much a perfect ride. Given that most of the parts are almost new I feel that £600 is a fair price but I will consider reasonable offers. I built the bike for a friend of mine who couldn't take it in the end. Please PM me if you're interested and I will take pictures of specific parts. Alternatively, come and view the bike in E2. Cash on pick-up only.
New prices added fyi only. Not splitting the frame.
