It might just be the angle of the photo, but is the frame intended for a 700c front wheel?
Personally I don't see the point of spending that much on an old saddle, just because it has the same name as the frame on it: a nice Flite would cost you half of that.
I've got some Profile Design Airwings (26.0mm clamp), if that's the sort of thing you have in mind.

What size seatpost do you need ?

OK buddy, sorry I've only got 27.0 posts.

Right ok, that helps to make my mind up
I think it is 700/700 -

Ahem nice colour: yellow
dull colour: white with lame blue bitsThis!
Loving the thinking that probably occurred in the drawing office when they came up with that. I think it'll look better in full 90s OTT TT trim than road trim.

I have successfully found the ugliest stem I could. Looks like a sad penis, so I'm very pleased
I've also sorted a matching 105 rear brake and a pair of 7700 DA bar end shifters
I've got some bars coming in the post too
Does anyone know where I might find some awful red/yellow speckled tape? -
• #17
I'm leaning towards the second one -
• #18
Obvious tape is obvious!
Would be too much with drops, but for the amount that TT bars need, will be just lairy enough.
-
• #19
So as it stands I have:
7700 rear mech
7700 bar end shiftersHopefully soon I'll have
7700 front mech - braze on, so will have to organize a band
and maybe a 7700 chainset with 7700 TT rings however since this was supposed to be a quick and cheap build @haveo has suggested that maybe I get something cheaper - this is always something I can do later
I have a base bar in the post and two potential sets of aero bars to go on depending on the bar size/aesthetics
Last thing is I need to sort the bearings/axle for the disc then I've done all the main bits
Very exciting!

Sorted the disc today and had a brianwave
I've been considering getting some stickers or similar made for the disc, but I don't know of what
Then it occurred to me that this kinda looks like the Kill Bill Pussywagon
So I'm thinking some ugly ass flame decals for the disc (and maybe "PussyWagon") -

100% PussyWagon!!

Huge rings at the front and you're good to go.
Great bike man. -

Ditto.
Cinema ≠ IRL.
Last night I picked up this Fausto Coppi frame
My plan is to do a fun summer parts build build, probably a time trial build, just for the fun of it
So far I have
A cheap front wheel
A HED rear disc (not the one pictured) a different one - that i need to source bearings for
A DA 7700 Rear Mech
Two pairs of aero bars - some distinctly 90s bendy things and some more modern ones
Two pairs of aero brake levers
A black 105 front brake
Things I need:
A base bar/pair of bullhorns
Stem
Saddle
Seatpost
Chainset
Maybe front mech(?) - I was thinking about running a 1x9 but this might be a stupid idea - any ideas here?
Rear brake
My main question however is - is this frame worth putting anything nice on to?
I've been looking at chainsets and I don't know if it's worth spending the £50 on a 7700 chainset if the frame isn't worth it.
Also there is a couple of "fausto coppi" saddles on eBay at the moment, is this build worth an embroidered £60 fausto saddle?
Any input/criticisms would be greatly appreciated!
