Frame is the only thing left of the bike; I have literally replaced every part on it

I have a colleague who rode an aluminium hybrid Allez (or similar) into the ground. Frame broke at seat / top tube. She'd bought it from Brixton Cycles, had definitely swapped wheels and probably other parts. Brixton managed the whole process - she ended up with a whole new bike. I think it took a couple of weeks, though.

My girlfriend snapped her spesh carbon and they did a deal with cranks as well for 500 quid as the hanger should of snapped but didnt msngling it . They where pretty good at our concept store not charging for the rebuild or anything extra like chain cassette brake blocks bar tape etc she got a better frame as well as the ruby had been upgraded several times .
That was after 5 years roughly.

I have purchased 5 bicycles over the last 20 years from LBS and all were Specialized. My commuter cracked on the chainstay. The employee who sold it, Justin is still there at Northside Cyclery in Chatswood NSW. Lifetime warranty meant nothing as I only had a credit card proof of purchase not a receipt since this was insurance purchased 8 years prior. Lifetime Warranty is BS. They are cheats. Very unhappy and never going to that LBS again nor buying Specialized junk either. Australian consumer law does not help. It is for suckers.

Hit up Specialized US - they might help you out. Sounds like a local / regional distributor problem.

Already have. The LBS are the Specialized dealers in this neck of the woods. They took my cracked frame so now I have nothing. So much for customer service. They claimed to have changed their point of sale software so cannot dig up the old receipt / sale details. So much for loyalty also. The LBS obviously does not believe in return business. Don't go to Northside Cyclery Chatswood AU.

You do realise this is a London centric forum and it is highly unlikely that anyone will be visiting Justin at Northside...

TBH, just having a credit card proof of purchase tend not to be enough unfortunately, however there is no reason why they can't process the warranty anyway.
7 year old road frame has cracked through the dropout, what are my chances?
