You're not being superfluous*

Are you wanting to turn into John Islip Street or onto CS5 North/West-bound on the north side of the A202? I can't see much advantage in turning onto CS5 there unless you want to turn right up Regency Street.
I think the light timings might have been changed there quite recently. If you want to go from Lupus Street to John Islip Street it used to be that once you'd crossed over into the CS5 South East bound you had to wait ages at the bike lights at the crossing of John Islip Street (where you were turning left), so that it was actually much better to just go in the left hand lane of the road to take the left turn. However, the last time I made that turn, that wait in CS5 seemed to have disappeared.

My partner was complaining about this junction last night as well. She says it's not as intuitive for cyclists to follow the route and the way finding is poor.

Sorry should have clarified. I'm coming from Oval northwest on the CS5 and when at that junction am looking to turn right across the whole thing to go up Drummond Gate and the up Lupus st.
I've noticed the same about traveling in the other direction off of Lupus st, onto southbound CS5. The wait in that direction does seem to have changed.
Firstly, I think that overall CS5 is good, and I am grateful for not having to maneuver in the crazy traffic around Vauxhaul Bridge. Also if I'm being superfluous just let me know!!
I'm not sure if I'm the only one that finds this a bit annoying about the new CS5 that goes from Oval to Pimlico: when crossing over from Northbound CS5 to go through Pimlico (so turning right off of the CS5 to go up Lupus st), the diagonal path across the junction/road is blocked 99% of the time by time our lights turn green. Next loads of cyclists weave through traffic that, rightfully so, want to get out of the way leaving me feeling very exposed as no one really knows whos right of way it is. After sticking to the rules and waiting 2 mins (average) at the cycle traffic lights, it feels like a slap in the face to have to then just dangerously weave through the traffic that didn't wait their turn (probably a bit harsh).
For clarification I've made a figure highlighting the issue where lights A and B are on the Northbound side of the A202. From my observation, the problem is that lights B turn red before lights A and the delay is up to 20 seconds which is more than enough to fill the space between that should be clear. From a car's point of view, they are just see making it through one traffic light a victory, so naturally jump over light A hoping there is enough space in front of light B. This is also happening on the southbound side too...
Am I the only one that finds this slightly annoying? I was asked by an official looking bloke with a clipboard about this problem the other morning when waiting, and I said my grievances...hopefully something will be done about it.
