Um. That hub is using cartridge bearings so an all the way threaded axel is not going to work as it needs bits for the bearing to sit on.

Changing it is fairly strightforward, you just need one that is longenugh. -

Ta very much, I suppose then I need to whip it out and measure it? So that I'm then armed with the info to replace?

I think it will be 160mm (as that is what mine is) but you will not be able to find a longer one. But good luck!
I'd like to swap my fixed/free wheel into a new frame and wondered if it's possible to replace the axle in cheap hubs like these. Existing frame is 120mm and new frame is 130mm and I don't want to squeeze it down to 120 as I think I'll go back to 130 hubs at some point on this frame.
No idea what the hubs is but do replacement axles at 160mm, which is what I estimate need.
