So, I am trying to find a nice old steel frame for the gf to commute/potter around on. Plan to fit a Tiagra group and possibly flat bars. I have found a nice 653 example, and she likes the colour, which is obviously the most important thing.
It's pretty standard road geo, however it is 650c front wheel, which scares me a bit. It's a world I know nothing of.
How will this affect the ride?
Can I get tyres easily? (Gatorskins)
Will it actually be at all noticeable?
Anything else I should consider?
Should I just buy it?
Thanks
