I'm selling a 56cm Cross-Check f&f, its wheels and downtube shifters. This is what the build looked like (photos is 2 years old):

I've recently been using it with fat tyres and riser bars for green lanes in the Peaks, so I have replaced it with a 29er hardtail and swapped most of the bits over, leaving a few bits for sale:

Cross-Check f&f

• 56cm
  
• Fork has 20cm steerer length
  
• Frame number M5020480 = made in 2005
  
• All eyelets / bosses are threaded OK and working
  
• Fork does not have the mid-blade eyelets... too old
  
• Includes Ritchey comp headset, seatclamp, starnut, topcap
  
• I can remove the headset if you prefer (no change in price - have previously tried to freecycle this headset!)
  
• Small ding in seat tube
  
• Rub patch on one chainstay
  
• Paint is generally quite tired
  
• No decals, but it does have the head tube badge
  
  

I bought it in 2012 for £125 off ebay and spent £75 at Armourtex on a gloss-black powder coat. Asking £130. Now sold.

I bought these from Rose Bikes as touring/trekking wheels. They are a bit off-true, but were still running OK with v-brakes.

I've not bought/sold on here for a while and therefore not donated in a while, so I will donate 5% to the forum when done.

I live in Sheffield and once a week drive down the A1 to Cambridge for a couple of days work. I can deliver anywhere close to that route, Now in New Mills, happy to try to arrange colelction in Manchester, also happy to post if you can bear with me finding suitable packaging and getting you a postage quote.

Finally, pics of the shifters - trying to show the inside of the used (rear) one, and also packaged up for posting (by some miracle I have the original plastic widget) to stop them falling apart into thousands of tiny parts

Note - I am missing one of the downtube adapters - just got the rear one - so knocking a fiver off the price - Now £20

So while the 29er hardtail has done a great job of being a green lane cruiser I've found myself missing the easy going road miles on the CC so recently bought a Pacer frame. The wheels have ended up back on that, so there's nothing left for sale. Which means total incoming was £150 -> £7.50 to the forum. A timely donation because I've just been doing some buying and I'm reminded how useful&friendly this forum can be.

The Pacer has now gone too, I've found a home for a lot of the other bits, but the wheels are spare and up for sale. They've done about another 500km on top of the pics above, but are pretty much in the same condition. They failed to sell at £30 before, so trying £20 now.

And the SKS Chromoplastic mudguards are for sale too, they are a 40 I think, worked fine on the Cross Check and just about worked OK on the Pacer too. Quite beaten up now, if anyone wants more recent photos, let me know.

Will take them if spacing is standard 130mm and they can take up to 10 speed road cassettes
