Bob Jackson 531DS fixed, purple, 57.5 c-c

Hi there, just pulled the trigger on a trip to see my team play in Germany so this has to go. I'll post more pics this weekend, this is an old one but shows current build.

Tubing is the slightly oversized 531 (designer select), and the frame has some nice quirks. Horizontal dropouts, but drilled front and back and plenty clearance for wide tyres. Currently built with 27' + pasela 32s, no eyelets or bosses anywhere, so probably originally intended as a winter trainer. Serial number is 13089, id'd by BJ as built Sept 1977.

Crankset is Galli, the beautiful 52t ring is included. Stem is Nitto, lever is a nice Dia Compe and I'll provide the pair. Full specs are:

— 27in Saturne HC19 rims laced to Shimano RX100 front, Novatec rear

— Surly 17t fixed cog, Sturmey Archer freewheel on other side
— Galli Strada 170 cranks (road) 42t + 52t. The 52 ring is bloody nice, like this
— MKS pedals (I think they're track)
— Shimano headset, new Shimano BB

North Road bars, I don't remember where I got them but they seem to be one notch above the Raleigh ones you can find online.

One detail that's worth mentioning (perhaps off-putting for some?) is that I touched up the scratches with yellow enamel. I think it looks great, I'll put pics of this too.

God I keep on coming back to this page - it's like the furthest from anything I'd ever thought I'd remotely consider desirable but it just looks so comfy and damn cool!
