Faggin SS Frame/Fork 62 cm SOLD

Posted on
  • SOLD this kinda weird concoction.
The base is a Columbus SL Faggin road frame with Cinelli lugs. It has Faggin engravings on the rear stays and the HT lug, while it it marked "Cinelli Milano" on the BB bottom. Massimo (Faggin's boss) said it is from the early 90's when the two brands where working together. The previous owner had turned into a SS by removing the derailleurs' bosses.

The fork is a straight blade from Vetta, another frame builder from the area, and was most probably added later.

I ended up having a local frame builder adding the cantilever bits so I could run mudguards on it (but it will still run conventional road brakes), and ended up using it a such for about a year.
Size is 62cm tall by 59 long.

Frame was powercoated about 6 months ago and has seen little use since, it's just a bit dirty. ONLY ISSUE A DING ON THE DOWNTUBE, but the frame is straight and true.

Headset and BB included, the former needs servicing while the BB is a Miche in pretty good shape. BB threading is obviously italian, the seatpost is 27.2 mm. I will include a set of Tekro Onyx brakes, practically new. It will make for a very fast SS commuter, the frame is super light and has tight geometries.

Price is 100 pound, plus shipping costs from Italy which I believe will be around 20/30 pound.
