that frame is so nice!
I love the drillium downtime -

Took some nicer shots of the frame this morning.

nice half lugs at the head tube. but that drilling is just too insane!

Does it play a tune when you ride it?

needs 404's for more dimples

What a beaut! If it does turn out to be too big for you...

Yesterday I built up the frameset. Partly with bits that are staying on the bike (wheels, cranks, seatpost, headset, tires) and partly with bits that I threw on to get a feeling for what they would look like (saddle, stem, handlebar).
With everything in place, the size appears to be fine for me. It isn't particularly aerodynamic, but it is all the more comfortable.
I am new to building up track bikes, so it wasn't a exactly a straightforward build. The chain is making a clicking sound when the cranks are turning. I currently have a Chorus 102mm BB fitted whereas the Miche crankset requires a 106mm. As such I am guessing I need to find the right width BB. The rear wheel nuts are one piece, as supposed to the front ones, which means they damage the paint big time when I tighten them up. Need to find replacements for those as well. I haven't figured out what the right chain tension is on a track bike, so I need to read up on that.

Looks great, black out the sides of the rims would make it for me. But it's looking sick

Finally got round to finishing the bike. Not sure if I got the chain tension right, but I suppose I will find out soon enough.

judging by the picture the chain seems a bit tight.

Awesome.
Makes me want to drill some speed holes in my downtube.

Looks great! Chain will stretch and slacken a bit so you could just ride it and wait.

One of my all time favourite aerobars is the Cinelli Angel. I have never gotten around to riding one though, since it will only fit a 1 inch threadless steerer and my bikes have always been either 1 inch threaded or 1 1/8 inch threadless. Up untill now that is. So when I came across a nice second hand one, I pulled the trigger immediately. I fits me like a glove and I can't wait to put some proper miles on it.

That looks bloody rad.

damn this frame is rad!
Not sure what to do with this frameset just yet, but I was just too unique to pass up. Even though I don't really need a track bike and it is probably too big for me.
DSC is the brand of Dutch frame builder Harry Dekker and from what I've read he is no stranger when it comes to building track frames. According to the seller this particular frame was built in 1990 from Columbus TSX tubing, although the down tube looks more like Reynolds 853. The down tube is drilled for better aerodynamics, apparently. The finish of the frame is absolutely gorgeous and the paint is still in great shape.
I have a ready built bike coming in in the next couple of days that I plan to use for parts (Miche mostly) for the time being. The wheels shown in the pictures are not here to stay.
