Old oxblood red armchair - £20

Posted on
  • Please come and take this wingback oxblood chair away (from se17 by burgess park) and give LFGSS £20* for the privilege.

    Bad points:

    • The previous owner cut the rear legs off. I have added basic straight legs that screw into a massive threaded rod, so it works fine and is stable - it isn't noticeable unless you're looking for it.
    • My girlfriend doesn't like it.
    • The leather on the arms is shagged, but could be made a lot better with time and effort and a repair kit.

    Good points:

    • Its awesome.
    • It now has removable rear legs.
    • With a weekend and an oxblood leather repair kit it could be as good as new. Almost.

Or keep as is for your bike workshop/shed/garage/grandad's war stories.

*either give me £20 and trust I'll pay it to the forum or show me that you have donated the £20 yourself.!

  • Love it. Have asked a friend of mine if she is interested.

  • @ChainBreaker need an armchair?

  • If the people above don't fancy it I can come and pick up tomorrow if you want it gone ASAP. Let me know.

  • times like these I wish I could drive :(

  • I've seen this already! but where??

  • Can deliver for you if needs be @amey

  • Missus decided its not as per the 'style' she wants .. whatever I dont care as long as she doesent have access to my new bike project spreadsheet(s).

  • You have spreadsheet(s) for new bike projects?

Surely that's feasible evidence and therefore a basic, schoolboy error?

  • they are in the cloud only anonymous, assange, google, snowden, the US government and I have the access.

  • All of whom would sell you out when faced with the wrath of a woman scorned.

Keep it all in the noggin my friend, all in the noggin. Like a true villain.

  • I'd be happy with anyone other than my Mrs having access to my bike plans. I'm still a bit confused as to my opinion on the fact you create spreadsheets.....

  • I'm with @Dick on this very point.

@amey - do you have a spreadsheet for everything? I run spreadsheets for business expenses, property costs and investments but I'd never, ever contemplate one for bikes. It's the first one she'd find because she'd make a beeline for it.

  • What's the file path saved as @amey?!

This may decide my opinion of your spreadsheetalisation of bike-build-planning....

  • There you go: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZDepCxeCT_iKNnRarDoJqv2PUfUv2xizMynKMs5LxYU/edit?usp=sharing

What I paid for vs what its worth column is important for new for old insurance; I also have a weight column if its a WW project. These days I also have product links so its easy to buy consumables in future. Also frame serial number and full build photo.

For accounting I am using Crunch atm but will go independent in near future. Its worth remembering that I am a crayons guy/graphic designer.

I also have bike related spreadsheets like these: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jSXAEt24Ld8mRwGxDkP-NRpaYDBsTCVBmGMf2ul20Ms/edit?usp=sharing

And many saved drawings in bikecad.

    Apologies for massive derail.

  • This re-affirms that I should probably practice what I preach.

My apologies for the derail also

  • No apologies whatsoever for the massive derail - this may well assist someone in their quest for clandestine/covert bike building operations.

    #sorrynotsorry

  • Derail appreciated, stealing your spreadsheet!

  • Right - Amey is out, Anidel may or may not have seen it somewhere before, poodles didn't actually call dibs so @tramp you have PM!

  • Would they allow me to carry this on the tube?

  • I don't see why not. You're providing your own seat.

  • I do remember that picture...can't figure out where! :)

  • Is this still available? Can collect this weekend. Thanks.

  • All done sold and forum donation donated
