Just so you know, you can request that you get a cheque instead of the vouchers from the train company if you are so inclined. The law changed in July this year

Yeah, I tried this after the voucher came through. The website didn't offer it as an option as that would be far too easy and everyone would do it. Tried calling, but I spend forever on hold and they don't return emails...Virgin trains company at their best.

All train companies are c*nts. I've very rarely had a good experience - and I have a season ticket on Great Northern (probably explains a lot of that).

Virgin trains are challenging. Well I think the option is there for the whole year in case you change your mind.

Minor dredge but could be usefull, got a single £45 voucher but would like £35 if possible?

As described, two vouchers valid against the purchase of any UK train ticket from a station booking office. Face value £41 each.
If you're spending more than £82 before 17 November 2016 you will save £22 with these bad boys.
I rarely use the train and got these from a delayed work trip. Will post out first class.
